Let’s take some pictures!

This isn’t about a photo session, or even the pictures, it’s about You. Forget about posing and feeling stiff in front of the camera. Imagine going on a walk with an old friend, who just happens to have a camera with them. My process is a flow and my only goal is to capture your true self.

FAQ

This is my first photoshoot, what should I know?

Ah so excited to meet you! I aim to keep it fun and casual, let the kids run around and keep them in the moment. I have squeaky toys and will happily act a fool to get your kids laughing naturally and feeling comfy.

What should we wear?

I'd suggest coordinated but not matchy. Earth tones, denim blue, burgundy, mustard/burnt orange as well as navy and dark greens always look great in photos.

Can we include pets in our family session?

Yes, I love when families include their pets in photos! My suggestion would be to arrive a little earlier and walk the dog so its a little worn out -- and bring lots of treats!

What locations do you typically shoot at?

I have a few favorites - the beach, a eucalyptus grove and also a local park near a canyon.

Do you provide retouching or editing for the photos?

All galleries delivered are edited in my signature style (typically a mixture of black and white or warm colors). If you require further edits, I outsource to my very talented Retoucher who charges an additional rate.

Can I bring my parents and in-laws along?

Yes! I photograph a lot of grandparents with their grandkids and they're always such sweet moments. I also love to photograph adult children with their parents - sometimes the only professional photos they have together is from a wedding day. As someone who lost their dad several years back, when a loved one is gone all you have left (besides the beautiful memories) are photos, so I am always so thrilled to capture those moments for you and your family.
